do you celebrate poverty thursday in your home? we do. you know, the thursday right before payday friday. we celebrate by doing exactly what one would guess happens on such an occasion.
we wake up and eat the cereal from the bottom of the box, while dripping over it the very end of the milk. next, we walk to the park to kill time (and energy) in a good ol' fashion, very inexpensive, way. for lunch, we eat peanut butter and whatever is around, on the heels of the bread, washed down with a nice glass of tap water. mmmmmm. we bust out some oldie but goodie toys from the back of the closet, because of course, we are just at home cleaning (and not out shopping. at all.) oh, and this is usually the part of the day where something major and expensive happens, like the universe's way of saying, hahaha take that...broke-ass. Today's disaster, A/C broken. (Last month I popped a tire on poverty thursday, that was exciting). we have an early dinner of tony's pizza and apples (because we always have both), all the while looking out the window and thinking how we will not water the lawn tonight even though its brownish, just to save money and pretend we will sit out this celebration next month. yea right, but it is a nice thought. we then round out the evening with a nice spa tubby and early bedtime in hopes that tomorrow gets here fast. I know, sounds fun huh. It's not awful, but I gotta be honest and say, the day we are no longer members of this lame club...will not be a sad one!
