i remember it vividly. the room. the winter blizzard. my outfit. every.single. word.
me: "dr.herber, ugh, it's the worst cold ever and i just feel overall icky all the time, its been weeks!"
dr. h: "well we looked over everything. congratulations linda your pregnant!!!"
me: (soil myself, and turn a gross shade of grey) "oh god. can we not say anything to my dad in the waiting room?"
dr.h: "ahhhh. (laughs and puts his hand on my back) unexpected? alright. don't worry dear, being a parent is the greatest thing in the world."
he was so right.
and that was the beginning of a long, beautiful friendship...
