this summer dash and i decided to challenge ourselves to the ultimate nerd challenge. we set out to read 100 books over the summer. and guess what, we did it! Waa-hoo. it was ambitious to say the least, but we laughed, we cried, you get it. dash loved searching for, checking out, and following the checklist of 100 recommended books for preschoolers that we found at our local library. we took a photo with the book and after we read each little gem, dash would make a comment about his favorite part, or sum up the book, or say something totally unrelated, or simply spout out, "lame", ha ha. hey, he was only 3 years old! i later typed up all of his reviews and put them with the corresponding photos. once we finally reached 100 we laminated our pages and had our book about books bound. hip hop hooray, we now have a masterpiece to prove we not only accomplished our goal, but we are total bookie book worms.
every time dash looks at the book he loves me to shout out,
"hey everybody, check on the big brain on dash."
...even if we are the only people in the house. goofy.
