downtown aquarium.

when you live in a small town, like we do, it's nice to get to the "big city" and do stuff. you know, get a little culture. as i mentioned before, we opted to get out and about on our birthday with a trip to the denver aquarium. and, as i also mentioned...it was fishy. we had a good time strolling through exhibits for about 1.5 hours, which anymore is about the max for this wagon i'm-a-draggin, and we managed to make a memory or two along the way. dash had fun looking at all of the gross (and mostly ugly) feeesch, and i'm pretty sure he soiled himself when he realized the scuba divers 1. were in the tank and 2. were actually human. ha ha. we were charged by a tiger randomly (yes, at the aquarium. and yes, he was behind glass. but still, weird.) oh,and dash had a brief love affair with an otter. dash pretended he wanted to touch a sting ray, so i bucked up and put my hand in the water with him (as any disgusted momma with a slightly unsure 3 year old audience would do) and just as they came close dash casually snuck his hand back, letting the slimy, grey, swimming bologna touch only me! thanks son, thanks. there were plenty of cheesy photos ops, a bouncy house, and one of those awesome machines you pay to squish your penny and give it back to you. glorious. we really did have a fun afternoon and it was all the experience we expected.
so, i thank you aquarium for the memories.
