dvr.

The other day my cable bill came, and me being me, thought it was waaayy too high. (never mind that its a bundle and I am pretty much ALWAYS using the TV, internet or phone, sooooo it would be impossible to NOT get my money's worth. But still...) The nice lady on the phone told me I could save a few bucks (literally a few) by eliminating my DVR services. Wha WHATTT?! Who was this fool?
First off, who the hell still watches tv in real time? I was certain the days of rushing home to catch your "story" are still in the Kappa Sorority house along with my giant cordless phone and the dial up shared computer. I know its Wyoming and we are just a smidge behind the times, however, we do have DVR. Not to mention, who has the time or schedule to just watch tv? Without DVR I would have no purpose to even have cable.
When I really thought about it realized how bored and blahhh I'd be without my late night friend. I genuinely look forward to watching The Real Bozos from anywhere really, Bethenny Getting Therapy, and Andy Cohen with his 4-11. I love that Dash and I have saved the. very. best. collection of children's classics we can watch at any moment. Oh, and I appreciate that when something great catches my  attention at the same time as something not-so-great (cue the sound of water running and giggling coming from the bathroom) demands it, I can hit that little red button and watch it after all distractions have turned in for the night.
And, I don't care how silly, lazy, fat-girl, sofa ass, nerdy it sounds...
when it comes to the DVR...its true love in this house.
