last year i made a resolution to write a thank you a day. and i'd like to think i stuck to it a-ok. i sent out a few in a traditional style to people who least expected it. i left one in the mailbox across the street for the nice middle aged man who always comes over with his snow blower after a storm just 'cause. and i even wrote a few to the big guy upstairs and just dropped them in the mailbox blank.
after a few months of the writing, well the stationary thing became an issue, and i decided to switch to writing when necessary, but everyday verbally, and whole heartedly, thanking someone each day. that was a lot easier, and yes, i did indeed accomplish my resolution, with the modification. hoo-rahh.
looking back, this past year has been challenging to say the least. so much has been changed. some invited by myself, some by others, and some just because that is how life is. welcoming my sweet noa magnolia, a high, honestly everything else...meh, not great. not terrible. but not glorious.
so with this new year, i feel that i need to step it up. divide and conquer. turn some dreams into realities, talk into action, trying into doing. and although not all i hope to accomplish can be tackled in one short year, (i mean, i do have some doozies that could actually take a lifetime to conquer. ) this is the time, my time, to get the ball rollin. i need to for dash. i need to for noa. i need to for me.
so 2012, i'm lookin' ya straight in the eyes, ya you.
look out because dis gals commin at cha, guns a blazen...
