as i have mentioned, i have had to make a lot of choices lately. some easy, some enjoyable, and some, well...not so either of those things. in lieu of my new maternity-wrecked income, a change, well several changes, in spending had to happen. probably the most significant is giving cable and internet the ax. i know. its huge. but a girl's gotta do, what a girl's gotta do. and, seeing as how this will not only effect me, i of course first decided i needed to discuss it with dashy d. he was a little hesitant at first, as was i, i mean who are we kidding? we love that stuff. so in order to ease into the upcoming change, we decided to do a test run...
just to see what it was going to be like in these parts.
so for an entire evening.
no television. no internet.
just me. dash. toys. conversation. the radio. and some sweet dance moves...
turns out, turning off is actually going to be a blessing in disguise. we had the best evening. how is that for an unexpected silver lining?! and not only will we be saving the cha-ching, but i was once again reminded of what i love, who i am,
and all the little things in life that really matter.
