I realized I haven't blogged in a while. Not because I have not thought about it, but more because I was not sure what to say. My life has been bananas the past 4 months. Literally turned upside down...twice. I finally feel so lucky to say that I really have nothing huge to report on, so I figure I would get everyone up to speed on the day to day...
In August we put our house on the market and an offer on a larger, well upgrade, if you will. Our house has had TONS of lookers, but no offers. I thought it was weird, but figured the big man upstairs was in control. In November, my husband was offered his dream job in Denver, CO working as a photographer for the Denver Post. Not a shabby deal. Even I have to admit, its pretty glamorous and impressive. He spends late nights shooting Avs, Nuggets and this week in Aspen for the X games, really?! Nice life. The downside of this sweet gig, he is gone...a lot. Due to choices in my past, I must live in Cheyenne, Wyoming for the next 14.5 years. Way worse places to be stuck, but still, kind of a bummer. So, my talented husband commutes for the time being and we still debate about where we go from here as far as getting some space in Denver, etc. Time will tell the details of that.
As I mentioned the house never sold...uh, thank God! After being informed we will stay here a while we decided this little house, and I do mean LITTLE house, is cozy and perfect. So sorry folks, its off the market. We are refinancing with American Capitol Financial and look forward to our lower mortgage. And thanks to all this falling in place, I am moving forward with my vision and giving this great place a little remodel. I love love love home decor and cannot wait to make some changes. West Elm, Crate & Barrel, IKEA and Anthropologie here I come...
Last week out of no where Dash shot up in bed and told me, "ma ma my ear is sick." (Luckily) We have never had to deal with ear infections, so I thought this was weird. However, the day Dash was born I promised him that we would forever be a team. No matter what I will trust and respect him, and he the same for me. I could write an entire blog on the crazy ways this tiny promise has played so many times in the past 3.5 years, but I will save that for another time. I knew I had to listen to him and respect he knew his little body, no matter how bizarre it seemed. I took him in to the doctor and sho nuff, ear infection! He's no fool! On the mend now and looking forward to the weekend, like the rest of the world :-). Oh another cool think Dash does now is add or include the word poop in everything he says. EVERYTHING he says. Its almost a gift...Jeez! And, if he really can't find a way to work it in to his sentence or replace a word with it, he'll simple replace the period (which yes is typically just there, silent) with the word poop. For example, "School was good poop." Or, "I need some juice please poop." Its soooo cool.
So that's an update of our day to day. Not the most exciting blog, but hopefully it provides a little insight and buys me time until I have something else to write about...
